Around Candlemas, the daylight increases again, the power of the sun returns and with it the anticipation of enjoyable moments. Inspired by the ancient custom of the Celtic goddess Brigid, who symbolised light, renewal and fertility, we light the flames – on the barbecue and inside ourselves.
