This is wellbeing on a deeper level: not just relaxation for the body, but genuine self-development for the mind and soul.

This is Facereading

How your face reveals more about you than you think

Whether it’s the shape of your face, facial expressions, wrinkles, pigmentation or fine skin changes – they all tell a story: yours. These characteristics provide a deep insight and give clues to experiences already lived and talents that may still be lying dormant – ready to finally be discovered.

Whoever understands themselves better lives more consciously. That’s where the magic lies: when you recognise what makes you tick, the path to more self-confidence, inner strength and joie de vivre opens up. You begin to make decisions with clarity, pursue goals with heart – and shape your life in a way that really suits you.

What is face reading?

Have you ever felt that your face expresses more than words ever could? That your eyes, your smile or even small wrinkles tell stories – about you, your experiences, your innermost being? This is exactly where the art of face reading comes in.

Siang Mien – The Chinese art of reading faces

In traditional Chinese teaching, there is a millennia-old practice called Siang Mien – face reading. This method, which is deeply rooted in Far Eastern culture, sees the face as a map of your personality, your character and your life path.

Particular attention is paid to this:

  • Face – stands for mindset, life goals and childhood, among other things
  • Eyes – are considered a mirror of the soul, reveal emotions and inner clarity
  • Nose – often associated with self-worth, finances and assertiveness
  • Mouth and lips – tell a lot about communication and enjoyment
  • Chin and jaw – symbolise steadfastness, willpower and vital energy

Every detail of the face – symmetries, shapes, lines and skin changes – provides clues to hidden talents, character strengths and emotional patterns. The aim is not to judge, but to recognise: Who am I really? What is my inner nature? And how can I fulfil my potential?

The European physiognomy – a western view

Face reading also has a tradition in Europe. The so-called physiognomics goes back to great thinkers such as Aristotle or Hippocrates. It follows a similar approach to Siang Mien – but with a Western flavour.

The focus here is on:

  • the interpretation of facial features (e.g. forehead shapes, eye distance, lip shape)
  • the gestures, facial expressions and even body posture

Physiognomics is used to draw conclusions about temperament, intelligence, emotional balance and spiritual orientation. This is also about understanding yourself and others better – on a deeper level

Why face reading is more relevant today than ever

At a time when many of us are searching for more sense, wellbeing and self-development, face reading opens up an exciting way of accessing ourselves. It offers valuable impulses for recognising inner blockages, consciously living your strengths – and shaping your own life with new clarity.

Face reading can be a wonderful companion, especially during wellness breaks, slowtravelling retreats or a conscious holiday in South Styria. It invites you to pause, reflect and discover your true self – mindfully, gently and without any pressure.

The face readers

The face reader

I was first confronted with the fascinating subject of face reading in the summer of 2021. What initially seemed like a chance discovery turned out to be a deep passion that has stayed with me ever since. The desire to learn more about the hidden messages that a person’s face can tell led me on my learning path. In the years that followed, I attended numerous courses and training programmes in the art of face reading to deepen my knowledge and hone my skills. Every new discovery, every new detail learnt, every new face read opened further doors to a deeper understanding of human nature. Over time, I have come to realise that face reading is far more than a mere technique – it is a bridge that helps us to understand ourselves better and to perceive the people around us in all their depth. This realisation has enriched my life and given me a new perspective on the world and on interpersonal relationships. I am grateful for this journey and look forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences with others.

The face reader

Since I became aware of face reading a few years ago, I have found it easier to explore new paths. By gaining a deeper understanding of the personalities and talents reflected in people’s faces, I am also able to recognise my own path more and more clearly. I have learnt to appreciate my own face with all its lines and expressions and to make peace with individual features because it shows me who I am – unique and perfect, exactly as it should be. Face reading has given me a valuable skill: to express empathy for my counterpart in a deeper, completely new way and to be able to put into words what moves the person. Every time I read a face, I feel enriched. It’s like opening a book that tells a very personal story. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others and delving even deeper into the world of face reading together with my colleague André Erz. Every day I continue to learn and I look forward to continuing this journey throughout my life.
