Air-conditioned hotel in South Styria

Summer bliss doesn’t always need a sea view. Sometimes it needs a view of the wine.

On days when temperatures climb to 30 degrees and above, one thing matters above all else: a place where you can escape the heat. At the Ratscher Landhaus, that’s exactly what you’ll find – a gentle breeze on the terrace, a good glass of wine, sweeping views over the vineyards and two refreshing swimming pools. To ensure this comfort remains undisturbed inside the hotel too, the Ratscher Landhaus is a hotel with air conditioning: all our rooms and all public areas are air-conditioned.

By evening at the latest, you’ll realise just how pleasant it is to be in a room that keeps the summer heat at bay – at least for a restful night’s sleep.

Hotel rooms with air conditioning

Fall asleep easily & wake up feeling refreshed

Anyone looking for a hotel room with air conditioning knows exactly what matters: no unpleasant build-up of heat under the roof, but cool bed linen and a pleasant indoor climate that promotes a deep sleep. Our rooms in South Styria are havens for warm days – in a quiet location, air-conditioned and with views out over the countryside. When the first light glints across the vineyards in the morning and Southern Styria awakens, you’ll start your day wonderfully refreshed and revitalised.

4*S hotel with air conditioning: comfort throughout the hotel

As a 4*S hotel in South Styria, we combine warm hospitality with comfort. Whilst the summer heat hangs over the countryside outside, you can breathe a deep sigh of relief the moment you step inside – no matter what time of day it is.

At lunchtime, you can cool off in the air-conditioned vineyard Lounge with a light meal and an iced coffee. If it’s still hot outside in the evening, from 6.00 pm onwards our 4-course ‘Großes Glück’. And even a late night remains a pleasant experience: our Wine Bar, open daily until 11.30 pm, invites you to linger and cool off with a selection of over 600 wines.

And because summer isn’t just about being indoors, cooling off outdoors is naturally just as much a part of it.

Coolcation in South Styria

The trend towards “Coolcation” – that is, a summer holiday where the focus is on deliberately cooling down – does not mean it has to be cold. Rather, it’s about leaving the heat stress behind and finding your own, relaxed summer rhythm in refreshing temperatures.

At the Ratscher Landhaus, this comes entirely naturally. In the mornings, you’re out and about in nature; at midday, you find a spot in the shade by one of our two pools; and in the afternoons, you retreat for a while. The 14-metre-long Infinity Pool with views of South Styria allows your gaze to wander far across the vineyards and the Leibnitz Basin. It makes it easy to switch off, just like a refreshing dip in our natural swimming pond: simply dive in, look out and stop sweating.

Wellness & Tranquillity

Places to escape to on hot days

As a wellness hotel in South Styria, we particularly enjoy these quiet moments: a massage, a relaxing spot to lie down, a few pages of a Buch. A summer holiday doesn’t necessarily mean rushing from one activity to the next. Especially when the temperatures are soaring, it’s good to simply slow down for a while.

Our air-conditioned massage area in the 500 m² indoor area, as well as the relaxing lounging areas in the approximately 1,000 m² outdoor area, offer peaceful retreats where you can unwind. And as our spa area is open daily until 7.00 pm, you can still enjoy a pleasant cool-down and relaxation late in the evening after an eventful day.

This way, a summer holiday in Styria isn’t just about escaping the heat, but a conscious choice to focus on what does you good. When summer feels like this, it’s welcome to stay a little longer.
