But where should they go? At Ratscher Landhaus in picturesque South Styria, you will find all the ingredients for unforgettable holiday fun. With the hotel in Ratsch an der Weinstraße, hosts Michaela and Andreas Muster have created a place of cosiness and joie de vivre that they are happy to share with you. Arrive and simply feel good. Nestled between rolling hills and extensive vineyards, you can expect genuine hospitality and warmth, cosy rooms, culinary delights, wellness pleasures – and above all: countless shared experiences and lasting memories.
Grandma and Grandad - I'm a fan!
A family holiday with grandparents is a win-win situation for the whole family. Grandma and granddad spend valuable time with their grandchildren, who enjoy the extra attention and care. Mum and dad treat themselves to some well-deserved time out and relax in our Wellness Area. And a lot of time is spent together in large groups. We welcome all generations to the Ratscher Landhaus. From Easter to the beginning of November, it’s family time here – ideal for a holiday with grandma and grandpa!
Holidays with the grandparents: Fun & games
There’s plenty to discover and experience at our family hotel in South Styria. Our large indoor playroom makes children’s hearts beat faster: playing, colouring, crafting, reading – there’s something for everyone.
A special experience for young and old is the 55 metre long Wooden Marble Run made from Styrian larch wood. The facility in the vineyard right next to the Ratscher Landhaus exudes a timeless charm and ensures fast-paced fun.
Swimming fun & games
The fun continues right on our doorstep: the little ones can let off steam to their heart’s content in our children’s playground. You’ll find our sun terrace nearby. Treat yourself to a tasty treat or two while you keep an eye on your little ones from here.
Time to cool off? In the warmer months, guests at the Ratscher Landhaus appreciate the unique bathing experience. Both the Natural Pool with shallow children’s area and the Infinity Pool, which is heated all year round, are available for a dip in the crystal-clear water.
The bears visit
Take a deep breath, enjoy the peace and quiet, experience nature: Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you can enjoy unique nature experiences on a family holiday with grandparents. Our gently undulating landscape is ideal for comfortable Hiking Tours and relaxed Cycling Tours. With the fantastic views and beautiful natural landscape, the journey is the reward.
On your exploration tours, you are sure to pass the Bärenhof Berghausen animal park. The small but beautiful animal park is just a few minutes’ walk from Ratscher Landhaus. Brown bears, bison, goats and ponies have found a home here and can be observed up close – a unique experience, especially for children!
Picnic or schnitzel?
Culinary delights await you after your adventures in the great outdoors. A picnic on the wine route is a special highlight for adventurous connoisseurs. We will be happy to put together a picnic basket for you with drinks and crispy – crispy fried chicken.
Delicacies also await you in a relaxed atmosphere at the Ratscher Landhaus. You can enjoy breakfast and dinner in our Panamic – Restaurant. Satisfy your hunger in between meals in our wine garden lounge. And while the little ones let off steam, the grown-ups can enjoy fine wines in our Wine Bar in South Styria.
