We would like to introduce you to two particularly attractive golf courses in South Styria. We can particularly recommend the Golfclub Murstätten to guests staying at our golf hotel in South Styria. The 36-hole course is located in Lebring – at the gateway to the South Styrian Wineroad – and extends around an almost 14-hectare lake. In the middle of an alluvial forest, golf becomes a nature experience. Thanks to the wide range of courses on offer, beginners and professionals alike feel at home here. The 18-hole championship course – the centrepiece of the course – offers sporting challenges. Countless bunkers and water hazards guarantee a varied game.

The course also has a second fully-fledged golf course, the 9-hole south course, which you can also play on without club membership. Those who want to improve their short game can also do so on the 9-hole “Pitch & Put” course.
Another highlight is the extensive driving range with covered teeing grounds. The golf club also has its own golf school for golfers of all levels. The Murstätten Golf Club is just under 30 kilometres away from Ratscher Landhaus.

The Golfclub Schloss Frauenthal near Deutschlandsberg is also worth a visit. On the 18-hole course, you first play on flat terrain in the historic castle park – surrounded by giant trees, some of which are centuries old. A highlight is the island green at hole 11, directly in front of the clubhouse, which forms the end of the park course. Afterwards, you will come to a hilly and particularly challenging forest course – and enjoy unique views of Deutschlandsberg and far beyond. Pure variety!
The golf club also has a golf school and a driving range with floodlights – so you can also practise at night. The Schloss Frauenthal Golf Club is located around 50 kilometres from our golf hotel in South Styria.
