Housekeeping staff member

We are looking for a cleaner (m/f/d) on a full-time or part-time basis for our Ratscher Landhaus in Ratsch an der Weinstraße in South Styria. Your role will involve cleaning our hotel rooms and public areas. If you work full-time, you will work 40 hours a week over 5 days and earn at least €2,096.50 brutto per month plus holiday pay, a Christmas bonus and tips.

The early shift runs from 06:00 to 14:30, and occasionally you’ll work from 13:30 to 22:00. Previous experience is an advantage, but not essential. You will need German language skills at A2 level or above, as well as a driving licence and a car.

The role is due to start from mid-March 2027.

Your main role will be cleaning our hotel rooms and public areas.

You’ll work independently and meticulously. At the same time, we’re a team and help one another out. So, when support is needed, you’ll also lend a hand in other areas – for example, with the washing-up.

We are a family-run hotel in Ehrenhausen an der Weinstrasse in South Styria. We are just 25 minutes from Maribor in Slovenia.

Here, everyone should know what needs doing – and at the same time, no one should be left to cope with their work on their own. We talk to one another, help one another and pitch in wherever support is needed.

Your salary

In a full-time role working 40 hours per week, you’ll earn at least €2,096.50 brutto per month.

How much will I earn?

At 40 hours per week, you’ll earn at least 2,096.50 euros brutto per month at the Ratscher Landhaus.

If you have professional experience, your salary may be higher.

You’ll receive 12 monthly salaries plus holiday pay and a Christmas bonus. On top of that, there are tips.

Our hotel is open from the end of February to mid-December.

Do I need a car?

Yes. Our hotel isn’t easily accessible by public transport. That’s why you’ll need a driving licence and a car to get to work. You can park for free right next to the hotel.

How good does my German need to be?

You need German language skills at least at A2 level.

This means: You can understand simple conversations and communicate with your team and our guests.

Do I also work on weekends and public holidays?

Yes. Our Ratscher Landhaus is also open at weekends and on public holidays. That’s why you’ll be working in housekeeping on some weekends and public holidays.

Our hotel is closed at Christmas and on New Year’s Eve.

What are the working hours?

You’ll be working at the Ratscher Landhaus as part of the housekeeping team on a rotating shift rota with your colleagues.

The early shift runs from 06:00 to 14:30. Sometimes there is also an afternoon shift from 13:30 to 22:00.

If you work full-time, you will work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

What are my responsibilities?

You’ll be cleaning our hotel rooms and the public areas in the hotel.

We work as a team and help one another. That’s why you’ll also lend a hand in other areas when needed – for example, with washing up.

Together, we make sure our guests feel at home with us.

Do I need work experience?

No. Experience in cleaning or housekeeping is an advantage, but not essential. What matters to us is that you are reliable and work to a high standard. We’ll show you how we work here.
