Dreaming of a holiday in South Styria – and your four-legged friend should come along too, of course? The Ratscher Landhaus, idyllically situated on the South Styrian Wineroad, is the place to be: Welcome to four paws!
Although dogs are not allowed everywhere, we offer the ideal compromise for two- and four-legged friends: comfortable rooms, plenty of nature right on the doorstep and clear rules for harmonious coexistence.
Dog-friendly rooms with a feel-good factor
At Hotel Ratscher Landhaus you will find selected, dog-friendly rooms without carpets – hygienic, bright and cosy. Waiting for your pet on arrival:
- A cosy dog blanket,
- your own food bowl,
- and a treat as a welcome gift
Please note: Pets are only allowed by prior arrangement and in a limited number. A maximum of two dogs are welcome per room.
They cost € 30.00 per dog per night (without food).

Pure nature awaits you right around the hotel: meadows, forests and vineyards – perfect for walks, dog walks and little adventures. The area is ideal for holidays with your dog in South Styria.
💡 Tip: Please keep your dog on a lead in the hotel area and be considerate of other guests – it will be relaxing for everyone! Nobody needs excitement. Not even your dog!
Pleasure for you - peace and quiet for your dog
Even though dogs are not allowed in the Wellness Area, on the pool lawn and in the Weingarten restaurant (main restaurant), there are many nice alternatives:
- Breakfast or dinner with your dog? No problem at all! We will be happy to reserve a table for you in the Green Parlour – our separate area for guests with dogs. Please let us know before you arrive if your dog will be joining you for meals so that we can prepare properly.
- While you relax in the spa, your dog can relax in your room.
- Your loved one is always welcome in our Lounge, in the afternoon, in the outdoor restaurant areas, in the Wine Bar and in the Café.
What dog owners should please know
There are a few simple rules to ensure that your short holiday in South Styria is a complete success:
- Dogs do not belong in bed or on the couch
- Please put up the “Dog in room” sign if your four-legged friend is left alone. Our cleaning team will then not enter the room.
- Room cleaning cannot be cancelled – for hygiene reasons, your room will be cleaned daily.
- We reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of € 150 for excessive soiling
- You as the dog owner are liable for any damage.
TIP: our Panoramic Rooms on garden level are very popular with our guests with pets!
